Excited People Make Others Nervous!

Have you noticed that? People get nervous when you get excited! Now imagine when you get SEVERAL excited people together – OTHER PEOPLE FREAK OUT!
 

Why? Because, most of the time, they don’t know what it is to be excited about anything and think that you must be “on” something or just plain NUTZ! It’s really rather funny (and yeah, I know I misspelled “nutz”) when you think about it.
 

So, they don’t know – or remember  – what it is to get excited and ALSO they have nothing to get excited about and don’t trust others that do. What? Let me explain.
 

We’ve all heard the idea that people are afraid of what they don’t understand or that people are afraid of the unknown. Many times, these people have lost their ABILITY to become excited about ANYTHING in life and when they see others get excited about something they are afraid because they just CANNOT understand what there is to get excited about! And, on top of that, since they can’t seem to get excited about anything they are DOUBLY AFRAID because that kind of excitement and enthusiasm is unknown – FOREIGN – to their very thought process.
 

You see them every day. And they see you!
 

Maybe this describes you. Perhaps you are wary of ANYONE that gets excited about ANYTHING. Friend, it’s time for you to recapture the excitement of your youth when you got excited over just about everything!
 

You see, there are some things WORTH getting excited about and there are some things that you just CAN’T HELP but get excited about!
 

Let go – let loose – GET EXCITED once again.

What Would YOU Do For...

I hope you'll take the time to look over this again if you took at peak at it earlier today. I had posted a short message stating that I would not be able to do the blog for today because I was out of town getting my son signed up for college.

However, I have some "down time" and wanted to go ahead and put some thoughts up for today. (I do apologize for not having an image to go along with today's blog - I've gotten quite fond of those! I am at a "public computer" and am unable to save anything from the internet that I might decide to use).

So, the question is kind of "loaded", wouldn't you agree? I mean, it's kind of hard to answer it since I left it "open ended" like I did.

If you took the time to listen to the podcast (if not, be sure you do!) then you know I had just finished watching the very end of an episode from "America's Got Talent" in which the host of the show made the comment, "I wouldn't do THAT for a million dollars!" while watching someone swallow a sword and a "moving" drill.

Which made me think, "What would YOU do for a million dollars?" Hey, don't even make it a million dollars, what about $50,000 - which is what the contestants of the reality show, "Fear Factor" played for and which I mistakenly said was $25,000 (still nothing to "sneeze at").

When you consider some of these reality shows and what they ask contestants to do in order to even have the CHANCE to win that money, you soon realize that people are willing to do just about anything for money! I've even seen one where they offer people as little as $10 to do some really stupid and, often, disgusting act. Surprisingly, many say "yes" without even giving the hosts a chance to offer more - which, still, isn't much at all.

Here's the thing - some of these people that are more than willing to do unspeakable things to themselves and put unspeakable things into their bodies likely do not have the characteristics necessary to design a life that would ensure them the million dollars many times over.

Too many times we see the lights and camera - which, is also a main reason many of these people participate - and aren't willing to get involved in a day to day routine that could lead us to a life of financial security that we can only imagine at this time in our lives. what about YOU?

I really hope you will consider this and really think about the fact that what you do TODAY (and each "TODAY" that you have)can do far more for you than a stint on one of these reality television shoes.

But will you do it? Are you willing? Are you determined enough? Again, the fact is - only YOU can make that decision and only YOU can take the action necessary.

One other thing that I mentioned in the podcast was when I thought about the fact that on some of these shows (such as "America's Got Talent" or "American Idol" or any variation for the different countries) actually reward people for their TALENT! And, in reality, only those that have the drive, the determination, the PASSION to keep after it regardless of any roadblocks will be able to make it to the end.

Now, let me ask you this question - are you willing to use your "talents" and abilities for the betterment of those around you even if there is no promise of a monetary reward?

Although the reward may not be monetary - there IS a reward when any of us does this by serving those around us in our own special way.

Maybe it's just the way you always have a smile that brightens everyone's day. Perhaps it is a word of encouragement that you so easily give. Whatever it is and in whatever way you give it - please keep on doing that! YOU make the world a better place by what you do right now, right where you are!

Take Control of Your OWN Destiny!

Take Control of Your OWN Destiny!

Questions to consider:

1. If you were your own boss - would you ever worry about getting fired?

2. If you were your own boss - would you ever worry about being "laid off"?

3. If you were your own boss - would you take the day off for your birthday? spouses birthday? your child's birthday?

4. If you were your own boss - would you be happy?

Yes, I understand that, one thing that must be taken into consideration, is the self-discipline that must exist in order for one to function as their own boss. But, let's worry about THAT task when we get to it, o.k.?

Today, we're talking about the need each of us have to "Take Control of Your OWN Destiny!" - and this can take on many different forms in our lives.

But, here is the bottom line - you will never live the life of your dreams on YOUR terms until you take control of your own destiny!

Yes, I know that you may absolutely LOVE your job! But, let me ask you this - do you have to put in a request for vacation as soon as possible once the calendar turns over into the new year? Regardless of how much you love your job, is there a possibility that you could LOSE that job?

WHAT IF...

...you could still work at that job that you love so much and STILL put things into practice that you control your own destiny?

Here's what I mean - what if you could set yourself up to where even if you LOST that job you'd still be alright financially and emotionally?

What if you could control your destiny to the point that, although the job you would really enjoy working at doesn't pay as much as you really need it to, you could take it anyway? And not worry about the level of pay?

What if you could live wherever you want - not based on a job, but simply based on the fact that you LIKE the area?

Controlling your own destiny is about CHOICES! The more you control your own destiny, the more choices you have!

Too many of us have fallen into the trap of thinking "this is just the way it is" and we go through our lives like cattle being herded here and there with no direction of our own.

ENOUGH!

Wouldn't you agree?

Something to Consider

One of the things that was emphasized at the recent seminar I attended in Springfield, MO. was that we ALL need more than ONE "stream of income". Now, I've heard and read this many times but it is always good to hear it again.

What is meant by "stream of income"?

Anything that brings income into your life is a "stream of income". Yes, picture it as a stream that is bringing money into your account!

Here's the problem - most people have only ONE stream of income and, regardless of how GOOD (or well-paying) that particular stream is we must all ask ourselves the question, "What happens if/when that stream 'dries up'?"

"Oh, but my 'stream' would never 'dry up'!" -- Oh really?

Those who have been laid off have had this happen to them. ("But not me!" you say)
Those who have been "let go" from their jobs have had this happen to them. ("But not me!")
Those who retire (willingly or forced retirement) have had this happen to them. ("But not me!")

O.k., let's just stop here for a moment --- retirement? How many people have seen their retirement disappear because of the actions of the "higher ups" in their company. Some that had hundreds of thousands of dollars set up for retirement now have nothing! Beyond that, most people simply don't have enough to live by during their retirement years and they depend on government help to get by. YES, THIS COULD BE YOU!

Your "income stream" can "dry up" in any number of ways. Here's the key question that you must ask yourself:

"If I were to stop working - voluntarily or involuntarily - what would happen?"

You see, doctors get paid a lot of money - but not unless they do the work! And, so it is for a majority of people!

What happens if you get sick or some injury keeps you from continuing to work? What then?

None of us wants any of this to happen in our own lives yet it happens to people every single day - perhaps it has already happened to you.

The solution? Work harder and longer hours? Well, again, what happens when you are no longer able to do that? Um....get another job? Yes, that will bring you more money in IF you have the time for an extra job BUT we still go back to square one if/when you are unable to DO that extra job.

The solution? Additional streams of income that will eventually continue on even when you are not "working" for that stream of income. The more you have, the better off you are. One speaker at this seminar suggested that we all need seven streams of income and I have heard some talk of 40 and 50 streams of income that they have set up.

The key? Even if one stream "dries up", there are many more that will be able to carry the "burden" of this event. So, this helps us understand that, the more streams we have the better it is.

"But I don't have TIME for anything else!" I certainly understand that! That is why it is also important to find an opportunity that will allow you to build an extra stream of income on a part-time basis. One can continue on with this "part-time" or, if they so choose, devote "full-time" to it at a later date. Oh, and another KEY thing to remember is this - "residual income" (income that you continue to get paid on in the future from the work you do today).

Friend, I do believe I have found the opportunity that answers all of the criteria I have mentioned above. And, I want you to know, that I am not stopping here - I am continuing to search and check out and learn so that I may expand my "streams of income" even more.

Let's get to the point. Let's get straight to the information that you desire. Let's make it plain and simple and make it a "one-stop-shop".

There is your answer to another "stream of income". A legitimate "work-from-home" opportunity that provides a legitimate service that is backed by a strong, legitimate company.

If you understand the concept of needing to create more than one stream of income (perhaps your spouse can work on/with this new "stream") then please take the time to check this out thoroughly.
