Positive, Patient and Persistent

Short and to the point today.

I hope that all of you understand the importance of remaining POSITIVE as we go along this journey called life. You do, right?

Not only does it make a big difference in OUR lives, but it also makes an impact - yes, a POSITIVE impact - on those around us. Many times we may never know what our positive attitude has done for someone else that has crossed our path through the course of a day.

And, thought it's not always easy, I would think that most of us also understand the importance of being PATIENT even as we strive to remain positive. Seriously!

For me, the testing of my patience will often determine whether I keep a positive attitude or if I allow my attitude to take a negative turn. IT'S MY CHOICE. But, wow, I have always tended to be an impatient person and it is literally, a daily struggle. Yes, I am much better than I used to be but, at the same time, I have a long ways to go!

What about you?

So, maybe we can even say it this way: "Stay POSITIVE so that you can practice PATIENCE."

Now, here's the kicker, friend. In order for us to be successful with either remaining positive or patient, it is going to demand - yes, DEMAND - that we be PERSISTENT!

Attempting improvement in anything - ANYTHING - by attempting that improvement for only a short period of time will NEVER bring about that improvement. Make sense?

You will never achieve IMPROVEMENT in anything unless you are PERSISTENT in your pursuit of that improvement. You can't quit or give up early.

Nope.

You MUST push on even when you give like giving up. Patience, remember?

Remaining persistent is where many fall short and fail.

How determined - how PERSISTENT - are you in achieving whatever it is that you have set out to achieve in and for your life?

The 3 P's of Improvement: Positive, Patient, Persistent

You CAN accomplish what you desire through this process, friend. But don't you DARE, EVER GIVE UP.

Remember, as you continue to "push through" each and every day, always be sure to...

"Make it an AWESOME day! (Who else is going to do it for you?)"

Don't Get Beat Up or Beat Down

There I was sitting in the office of a millionaire and a "legend" in the company.

This was recent, as in "within 6 months ago" recent.

Like I said, this guy was pretty much a legend in the company and I had the great fortune to be close enough to his office to attend some trainings that were done there. On this particular day, the meeting had been cancelled and I didn't know it. He graciously offered for me to come in to his office and just ask questions or whatever I needed.

Very gracious. I mean, hey, like in a lot of "business opportunities", since he didn't recruit me or since someone in his "down line" didn't recruit me, he got nothing out of me financially but yet, here he was, willing to allow me to "pick his brain".

I was not doing well. I was struggling and I had no idea what to ask or even what to say. But, somewhere in the course of our conversation I mentioned a few of the things that I had been involved in (no, not that big list I shared with you the other day) and that I just didn't know what to do in order to get results.

He then shared with me what he had heard on the company's live video-streamed weekly program from another legend in the company. The guy on the program basically said that, in all of these other things that you have been involved in, others DID make money doing them. The insinuation was basically, "So, why haven't you? They have!"

Now, the millionaire legend sitting across the desk from me didn't really have to say much more. Him using that quote and then just looking at me like, "Well?" was enough

Bottom line is that I tried to figure out why I HADN'T been successful at any of these other things that I had been involved in but I just couldn't come up with an answer. This bugged me for quite a while until...

You want to know when I began to look at this differently? It wasn't until last week when I put that big ol' list together of all the things that I have tried over the years. I also began to "listen" to myself and what I have shared with you about "changing vehicles" does not make you a failure as long as you keep moving forward in this journey.

To be honest, it kinda made me a little angry when I thought about it again. Yeah, what the guy said was true - some people DID make money in all of those ventures. Shoot, when you think about it that way, people make money in scams, too, right? That doesn't mean that I'm a loser if I didn't feel good about that situation (thinking maybe it WAS a scam) and took my focus elsewhere.

And, he had every right to say what he said. I do know how he was trying to motivate me with that kind of thought. But, you know what? I realized that I had allowed him to beat me up and beat me down when I was already beaten up and beaten down.

I DON'T CARE WHO IT IS - DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO DO THIS TO YOU!

I am still on the "road" along the journey to my goals and dreams. I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP and I will NOT give up.

And neither will you!

Don't get beat up - GET UP, keep moving and move forward every single day!

And, as you do so, be sure to...

"Make it an AWESOME day! (Who else is going to do it for you?)"

I Can! I Will! I MUST!

Today is "Thankful Thursday"...remember and express YOUR thanks!

We've come to the last of my "7 Life-Changing, Life-Directing, Powerful, Daily Affirmations" with, "I CAN! I WILL! I MUST!"

If you haven't done so already, be sure to go back and "catch up" on the previous 6 Daily Affirmations that I've covered so far so that you can understand this last affirmation. Seriously, "I can, will and must WHAT?" That's kind of funny to me - think about it. You need to have an idea of what I'm talking about, right?

As important as it is to stand in front of a mirror and affirm these things on a daily basis it is equally if not of MORE importance to have this last one down with a FIRM BELIEF... "I CAN! I WILL! I MUST!"

Go back to that very first affirmation - the building block or foundational principle of all of the remaining six - and understand that, indeed, you CAN because of WHO YOU ARE... one that has been made in the IMAGE OF GOD! Then, understanding that you must determine that, not only are you ABLE to accomplish this task, but that you WILL do so!

PAY ATTENTION HERE... your passion must be such in this that you must also believe deep down that it is a NECESSITY and that it is something that you MUST achieve and accomplish!

If you've lost that passion then you might want to go back and "re-discover" your "WHY" - the REASON that you began this journey in the first place. Whatever it was, there was a REAL REASON as to WHY you wanted/needed to make a change in your life and, perhaps, for the lives of your family. WHAT WAS IT? Is it STILL a need today? Is it STILL a necessity today? Is it STILL a PASSION today?

If not, why not? What has changed? Has anything changed?

If nothing has changed - if things are the same as they were when you decided something needed to change - then you MUST ask yourself and determine if you are treating this as the NECESSITY that you felt it was in the beginning. Right?

DO NOT GIVE UP! This is something that is designed to BETTER your life and perhaps better the life of your family. And, as a result, it is also something that CAN (and should) enable you to better the lives of others that you may or may not know. (Remember, "Be a GIVER Not a TAKER!").

Hey friend...keep moving, don't give up, keep your eyes on your WHY and keep your eyes on your goals and dreams. You CAN! You WILL! You MUST!

And, as you do so, be sure to...

"Make it an AWESOME day! (Who else is going to do it for you?)"
