If Not Now...WHEN?

 For the past several weeks I have been sharing information with you about "Project 141: The One Year Social Media Work From Home Experiment".

Have you been following along? Have you been considering the things that I have shared and presented to you? Have you considered what this COULD possibly do and mean for your future?

Or, perhaps, you HAVE actually seen all of this information but you are thinking that this is like so many other things that you have seen or heard of and you are just going to pass it on by without even asking me any questions.

If enduring the pandemic and all of the hardships that have come from it has taught us anything in 2020, it SHOULD be that we MUST do something FOR OURSELVES to help provide income for ourselves and our families.  

Many business owners have had to shut down their business that they have had for several years - even decades - due to their business effectively being shut down due to the restrictions put into place with this pandemic. And, as a result, many that worked at such businesses have also found themselves out of work due to the business shutting down. And, still others have been "laid off" or have very limited work due to a great reduction in customers.

See what I mean?

If you are thinking that this is a "once in a lifetime" situation that will never happen again then friend, even though I wish that you were right, I'm here to tell you that it will now be easier than ever before to place such restrictions upon businesses and individuals. 

No, this is not a political post. It is pretty much a guarantee.

So, if not now...when?

What is it that you are waiting for? Have you been "burned" by past experiences trying to "work from home"?

So have I . More than once. And that, my friend, is what makes this so promising. I have been able to put something together that avoids many of the pitfalls that continue to be out there with most all types of home-based businesses that are being offered.

Check this out and see if it is not exactly what I'm saying it is...DIFFERENT in a GOOD WAY.

If you've not been following along, start HERE with the blog article that I have used to post each and every update of information that I have provided up to this point.

Then pray about it. Seriously. Ask God's guidance in this situation about your decision for your future. Then, if you feel PEACE about making this move - MOVE! TAKE ACTION! Ask questions if needed but MAKE A DECISION to finally DO SOMETHING that will not cost you "an arm and a leg". However, it WILL cost you COMMITMENT. That's right, I ask you to commit to this program for one full year - nothing less. 

Though I do not know you or what your current situation is, I am praying for you. I am praying that God will help "open your eyes" to this opportunity that lies before you and I also pray that He will give you a sense of PEACE and CALM in this decision and then, finally, I pray that you will decide to TAKE ACTION with your decision.

It's Coming!

 Sharing the potential numbers for "PROJECT 141" is still on it's way...it's just been delayed a little bit.

WHAT HAPPENED? Simply put, I got a little ahead of myself and put together some wrong projections that would have been very misleading...yeah, it happens with this old guy and I apologize. You may have even seen the video that I posted with those projections. As soon as I realized what I had done, I removed the video and all links to it as soon as I could.

I plan to put up the new video either tonight (Tuesday, 11.24.20) or tomorrow (Wednesday, 11.25.20) so be watching for it.

Once I get it posted I will add the link to the previous blog article that I have been using to direct those through every article and video up to this point.

Introducing "Project 141"

 

 UPDATED 10.20.2021

WOW! Most of my adult life, like many others, I have been "chasing" the elusive work from home opportunity that would actually prove to be something worthwhile and that lived up to all of the "hype" that usually surrounded that particular opportunity.

And, like most, I have always been disappointed, frustrated and with less money in my bank account than when I started.

Anyone else out there? (I see all of your hands going up!)

I have "been there, done that" and have "sworn off" ever trying to be involved in any thing like that ever again but, like many, I still believe that there is SOMETHING out there that could actually work.

So, for the past several months (at least 6) I have been trying to figure out a way to provide people, like myself, a way to SLOWLY build something that could be very profitable over time and I think I finally have done so.

"Introducing Project 141"

I'm not going to take the time or space to go over all of the details that I have revealed up to this point in this blog BUT I am going to list the links on what you need to do to follow along from the beginning discussions of this program up to my most recent video at the time. PLEASE don't "jump ahead" on this because my thought process for this program is revealed through a series of blog articles and videos in a PURPOSEFUL ORDER.

Work From Home Series #4: YOUR Purpose and Passion

I firmly believe that, if you are considering "joining up" with a work from home "opportunity", THIS is the MOST IMPORTANT "piece of the puzzle" that you MUST consider.

Yes, I do actually believe that it is that important!

You see, even when you consider the six "warning signs" that I've mentioned in Lessons 2 and 3, your decision of how YOU feel about them will be determined by YOUR purpose and passion. 

In other words, IF you are a person of character and you are determined to remain "true" to who you are and to your PURPOSE then, friend, these things will take care of themselves. Make sense?

If you have not done so, it is IMPERATIVE that you go back and catch up on the previous lessons and, if at all possible, WATCH the videos for this series. I believe that you will benefit greatly by doing so. 

Does the "purpose" or "value" of whatever product the company promotes match up with YOUR purpose? If not, why be a part of something like that?

What IS your purpose? What IS your passion? Obviously, I cannot answer that question for you but I do believe that God has placed you here for a reason and that He has given you your purpose!

Take a look at my "mission statement" that I put together back in 2013. By the way, I had tried to put together a mission statement before but never could come up with anything. Why? I now believe that this is something that you cannot force or "make happen". I believe that is something that must "naturally" come from you, your life and beliefs.

I have to be reminded of my mission statement from time to time. I need to be reminded of my purpose and I must also be reminded that this purpose is to apply to ALL areas of my life - "all endeavors that I undertake".  Is it possible for me to find some sort of "work from home opportunity" that will match up with my mission statement? YES and, here's the thing to consider: If I strongly believe that this is my purpose (mission statement) then I should not settle for anything less in my search! And, friend, YOU don't need to settle for less! Don't allow any type of desperation cause you to "cut corners" on what you believe to be your purpose and passion in this area.  I believe that is what you will find in the message in the image below...

It is important that you "get clear" on your purpose so that you have a "compass" for your life! This will be your guide to help direct you along your way and in every way or area of your life. YES, IT IS THAT IMPORTANT!

Notice what Tony Evans said in the above graphic about how your purpose will "not allow circumstances to dictate your decisions." Again, for example, being desperate - needing money - will NOT dictate your decision if it is not in alignment with your purpose. 

 

John C. Maxwell also expresses this truth very plainly, does he not? Now listen, I don't know you or what you do or don't believe and, friend, that's o.k. If you don't agree or don't like this thought, that's up to you. But it is what I believe to be true and I will promote such things in my blog, my podcasts and my videos. I do ask you to consider it anyway.

I can certainly relate to being "unhappy and confused" during times in my life and I know that, often, it was due to the fact that I was ignoring or trying to "go against" my purpose in and for my life. Given to me by God. And, yes, this unhappiness and confusion often was connected to work from home opportunities that I would try to make work.

Work From Home Series #3: Warning Signs - Part 2

 

Welcome to part 2 of "Warning Signs" in my current "Work From Home" series! Obviously, since this is lesson 3, there are a couple of other lessons before this one that you need to go take a look at FIRST so that you can be "in rhythm" with this series as we continue with today's entry.

I also strongly encourage you to take the time to watch the video's for this series (YouTube link below) since so much of what I share involves visual effects that is a bit hard to describe. I think you'll be glad that you did so.

In "Lesson 1" I discussed the "why" behind this series and also discussed how/why I feel that I have the qualifications to do such a series. I'm no expert and I've made that clear BUT I do have 15+ years of experience in this area which does qualify me to share the information that I am sharing in this series. 

In "Lesson 2" I began discussing some of the "warning signs" that I feel it is important to point out for those that may be considering getting involved with a home based business. I would not say that these are necessarily "red flags" but, more like things that you need to be aware of and that you should make sure that you get complete understanding about through the process of checking on these "opportunities".  We covered three in the first part of this section and, in today's article, I will share another set of three.

Warning Sign #4 of 6: Does the product have a real purpose or value? Though this may seem like an odd question, you may be surprised at how many of these "so-called opportunities" actually don't really have a product to offer at all! Oh, they may offer some sort of "digital library" which is readily available for anyone to put together themselves, but they have actually done THAT part of the work for you if you so desired such a "library" of these recordings, e-books and videos. And, from my experience, many times they really don't promote these digital items as THE "product" that is being sold but more of an "extra bonus" to deciding to join up with their organization. 

Again, watch the video and/or listen to the podcast for more specific details about that and also know that this also applies to a lot of "supplemental drinks", etc. that some companies try to pass off as an actual "product". Many of these items are basically worthless and are highly inflated in price but, for their purpose, it is a product that they will have for sale, regardless.

YOU NEED TO KNOW what the product is and then YOU must decide if it actually has any value and would you be comfortable in promoting such. Very closely related to what we will be discussing in #6 of "Warning Signs", is that you need to pay attention to whether or not this is clear to you or if you are still trying to figure out what the "product" actually is. If YOU aren't clear about it then you really need to ask yourself WHY this is so and also realize that the same confusion will be experienced by those that you may present this program and "product" to as part of your "business". 

Warning Sign #5 of 6: What kind of support will you actually receive? KNOW THIS: All of these companies will boast about their support but very few deliver on the promise.  "You're in this FOR yourself but never BY yourself!" is a motto that you will hear many times but, again, just know that most of these companies do NOT deliver in this area!

If you have questions, who can you call to get answers or WHERE can you get answers? If you are talking to someone and they ask a question that you don't know the answer to (and this WILL happen), how quickly can you get an answer and do you know HOW to get that answer? If you are told that your "sponsor" (the person that got you to join) will be available to answer your questions then you must also ask yourself, "How much do THEY know?" and will they have to, in turn, try to find the answer from someone else? How much information (and is it GOOD information?) will be available to you in your "back office" that the company SHOULD provide for you?

Bottom line: You WILL have questions and those questions will often come from your customers. You need to know AHEAD OF TIME how this will work. Remember, don't get caught up in "the hype" and let this get "blown over" in the process!

Warning Sign #6 of 6: Is the advertising that you will do misleading? You may say, "Uhhh, I don't know" but, friend, you DO know! Did YOU find it confusing or did you notice that it actually WAS misleading as you have talked to someone (or will talk to someone)? If so then, guess what? IT IS MISLEADING and YOU will be sharing misleading information as well! THIS IS HUGE!! I have never understood why ANY company would need to mislead anyone or try to "trick" anyone about their product or "opportunity" IF they were, indeed, a legitimate organization that were not scammers. By the way, you have just been told one of the main ways to know whether or not this company/opportunity is a scam or not. PAY ATTENTION and do NOT allow yourself to be "sucked in" with a bunch of hype. 

Again, please watch the video to get a better view of this but take a look at the following, actual ad for a company and see if you can figure out if this is a "job" or if this is a "work from home opportunity" and then, what IS it?

Pay attention to the parts of this advertisement that I have highlighted in red! First of all, in BIG, BOLD, RED LETTERS you see, NOW HIRING and you also see a picture of a young lady with a headset on and, if you look closely, you can also see what appears to be another person next to her. It would appear that she is a part of a "call center", wouldn't you agree? I'm not sure how much you can actually read in the box outlined in red but it is a list of things that, apparently, this company is hiring for! Things such as "customer support, sales, consulting, management, coaching, data entry" and on and on. And look! They have "hourly and salary opportunities" as well! WOW!

What kind of job or situation would you think that this would be? A job or a work from home "opportunity"? For me, it would seem to suggest that this is a company that is offering "call center" jobs to people where you can earn money either by hourly wage or even by a salary. My goodness, look again in that "red box" and notice all of the ares that are available...surely you fit into at least ONE of these areas, right? And then look at the part that I circled in red that indicates that you could make between $400 - $1200 PER DAY!!! Double Wow!

Now then, take a step back, take a breath and ask yourself this question: Do you REALLY believe that you are going to be able to have a "call center" type job that is going to allow you, at an hourly rate, to make that kind of money? C'mon now, get real here and be honest. Not even close. 

This is NOT a "call center" job even though this company regularly uses that phrase in their advertising and there are NO "hourly OR salary" positions available. Nope! If you call in and are looking for that type of work, you will simply be referred to another link that is simply a site for a job search. Unbelievable, right? And, get this - that person will get an affiliate commission for sending you to that page IF you fill out the information. I'm not making this up and I'm not just guessing about this. I know this to be true. 

Isn't it sad that such organizations feel the need to be so misleading? Do YOU really want to attach yourself to such a thing? I HOPE NOT! That is why it is so important to not get caught up in the hype and allow yourself to make justifications to yourself as a way to look past what your own character will tell you is NOT what you need to become.

Remember, if you have ANY questions about any of this information and even if you have an advertisement that you would like me to look at for you, I'll be happy to do so. I will give you my honest assessment about the ad and point out to you any areas of concern that I see. Again, I'm not an expert but, at the same time, I've seen a lot and learned a lot over the past 15+ years.

And, finally here's what I suggest BEFORE you talk to anyone: Have these 6 "warning signs" lined up for you to go through with whoever it is that you talk to about a possible "work from home" opportunity. If they are unwilling to spend the time with you to answer your questions then, friend, you need to move on. Work From Home Series #2: Warning Signs Part 1

As always, please be sure to go back and read the article before this since it is the first "lesson" in the series. ALSO, I would suggest that you actually WATCH THE VIDEOS (link below) in this series...I think you will benefit from doing so.

As we continue to discuss the possibility of working from home, it is important to take a good look at what your "expectations" are when you envision taking this journey. What do you imagine it will be like if and when you take that step? What "picture" do you "see" in your mind? When you watch the video, you will see several pictures that I pulled up on a search for "work from home". I've included one below so that you can get an idea of what is often portrayed for this category.

Is this similar to what you envision when you think of working from home? Do you picture yourself lounging around in your pajamas, kicking back and, for the most part, taking life easy?

If so, this is one major problem before you even begin the daunting task of looking over what is available! This is a FALSE IMAGE that does NOT truly show what it is like to work for yourself, from your own home. Not even close! Is it possible to live this way? Yes, but it will take you years to get to the point for this to be true in your own life, if even then.

So, before we even begin to address the actual "Warning Signs" that I have planned for this article, we must start there! Come on back down out of the clouds and to reality and we'll continue with the rest of today's discussion.

When I say "Warning Signs" I'm talking about things that you MUST pay attention to and understand how important it will be for you as far as getting answers about them.

Warning Sign #1: Is it something that is already offered in "normal" venues?      Whether it's vitamins or some type of energy drink, coffee, makeup, nail polish or any of the many things that are promoted in this arena, if it is something that people can buy at the local store at a much cheaper price, THIS WILL MAKE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SUCCESSFULLY SELL TO OTHERS. 

It doesn't matter how much better you have been told (and maybe believe) your product may be compared to those at the store, the majority of people don't really care about any thing else except the cost. Money talks and what you have to offer will likely be priced substantially higher than what they can buy at the store.  Be careful that you don't buy into the hype that will tell you otherwise.

Does that mean that it will be impossible for you to have any type of success with this type of product. No, but it will definitely make it more difficult. 

Warning Sign #2:  Does the use of this product require MAJOR changes in habit?    Back in 2003 I lost 100 lbs over the course of 13 months. I don't remember exactly how much of that 100 lbs. I lost by using a certain weight loss product but I did honestly feel better using that product than I did with anything else I did and/or tried over that time period. I actually still use some of those products even today! People that knew me and saw the transformation that had taken place wanted what I had! They saw the results with their own eyes!

However, I learned quickly that, even though they "wanted" the results, they were unwilling to do what it would take for them to get similar results. Many people want CHANGE but are not willing to DO WHAT IT TAKES to bring about that change in their lives.  

The same is true if you are talking about "cleaning products" for you home or even coffee. It's the same for those programs that urge others to completely change their habits for their phone, electric, t.v. and other services that they use on a daily basis. 

Impossible? No. However, I just want to make sure that you are aware of the difficulty that this type of product will bring your way - REGARDLESS OF THE HYPE that you will be told.  

Warning Sign #3:  What is the cost to get started and what is the CONTINUED costs involved?  Please notice that a "start up" cost does NOT mean that it is something that needs to be avoided! You will not find a program that will actually provide you a way to do business without there being SOME cost involved at the start. That cost can (and likely will) vary widely and YOU will be the one that will have to decide what amount you feel is justified. 

"Continued Costs" can come in several different ways. One of the main ones is what is usually called "Admin Fees" (administration fees) and, again, THAT cost can and will vary widely. Currently, I pay $0 monthly fees in this area and have paid as much as $197 per month for these fees. Again, YOU are the one that will have to decide what you are comfortable with and what you feel is justified. 

One that many don't even consider (most don't even KNOW to consider this) is the cost of having people to talk with in one way or another.  It may be the cost of posting ads on Craigslist, for example. "I thought you could post for free?" Regardless of what you may be told, posting ads for free in this way is NOT the way to accomplish much of anything. For one, you will CONTINUOUSLY be checking to see if your ad has been removed or not and, it likely will be and will be OFTEN. The only way to actually do much in this area is to PAY for it and, friend, that cost CAN add up quickly. 

You may need to buy leads in order to have enough people to share your opportunity with each and every day. What are leads and how much do they cost? Leads can be those who reply to your ads that you have posted or that saw you make a post on social media. A "lead" is simply a person that has given you some amount of information so that you can contact them and share your information. Some people BUY leads which, by the way, has a "mine field" all it's own! The costs of these leads also vary greatly and the "quality" of them ALSO varies greatly.  

NOTE: Most home-based business FAIL due to the lack of an adequate supply of leads. Simply put: Not enough people to talk with about whatever it is that you offer.  THIS IS A COST THAT YOU MUST TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION!

Top 10 Tips to Avoid Being Scammed

 Here is a list of the "Top 10 Tips to Avoid Getting Scammed" that I have put together from my past experience. They are not in any particular order but they are ALL very important to keep in mind.

 

1. Don't "risk" more than you can afford to lose (even if it's "guaranteed refund"). If the "getting started" cost is $100 or if it's $25, if you can't afford to lose that, DON'T DO IT!

 

2. Don't believe the hype..."too good to be true" is not always false, but it SHOULD be a warning sign! Even the legitimate opportunities do tend to "over-promote" how "easy" it is to achieve success.

 

3. Realize that those that do well, quickly, likely have a HUGE list already in place in order to have people to market to. It takes a long time to build up such a list so, don't necessarily expect immediate results . It CAN happen, but don't get crushed if it doesn't. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

 

4. DO NOT QUIT YOUR JOB until you have matched or exceeded your current income for SEVERAL months CONSISTENTLY! (1 month is NOT consistently....think more along the line of 6 months or more)

 

5. DO NOT QUIT YOUR JOB because it also puts way too much pressure on your to "make it happen". The more pressure you put on yourself (and that "opportunity") the less likely you are to succeed.

6. If you don't have the $$ to invest in advertising then understand that you CAN get people to work with you (or be your customers) with "free methods" but it will take more "sweat equity" and more time.

 

7. Do NOT use your "real" phone number (but also do not make up or use someone else's #)
           a. if you don't have an alternative, use a "time/temp" number
           b. use Google Voice by getting a "gmail account" - USE THIS!

 

8. Consider having more than one "opportunity" set up and running in order to increase your "streams of income"...
     - don't "bite off more than you can chew" but there should be some that you can do without a LOT of physical work/time on your end

 

9. Decide for yourself! You cannot always rely on the "Rip-off Report", for example. Many times these are people that wanted someone to do it all for them and expected "magic" to happen and, when it didn't, they began to cry "scam! scam!" The final decision will ultimately be up to you.

 

10. Risk vs. Reward. This could also be looked at as comparing the "pros and cons". Yes, get out a sheet of paper (or do it on your computer) and make a list of the risks/cons as well as the rewards/pros. Is the REWARD big enough to overcome some of the RISK involved? Know this: There is ALWAYS risk involved in ANY situation like this. Again, the final decision will be yours.

 

***BONUS TIP: Do NOT go to some site for "Top Home Based Businesses"...you will get SWAMPED with emails and phone calls. They are only turning your information into a LEAD for people to buy. There is NO set up or "matching" you up with the "perfect" opportunity for you! Again, this is a way for companies to sell your information. Understand, too, that your information will NOT be sold only once. It will likely be sold five or more times and this could go on for months as your information gets recycled through "the lead system".

What Have YOU Spent $20 (U.S.) On This Week?

 

Many of you know that, from time to time, I check out different "opportunities" out there and, for the most part, I've been very disappointed in what I have found.

 

As a matter of fact, very soon I'm going to specifically mention two different "opportunities" that are flat-out scams. Yes, I will make sure you know EXACTLY what/who they are and why I say they are scams.

 

NOW THEN...

 

I've still always believed - even KNOWN - that there ARE "real" opportunities to make money and even a living doing something online. I know for a fact that there are people that do it every single day.

 

The problem is making your way through that "mine field" of all of the scams that are out there.

 

Now, let me say this up front: I do not know 100% how this opportunity I'm sharing with you in this article will turn out. I'm not going to promise anything or even suggest anything, as far as results.

 

Sound o.k. to you?

 

As a matter of fact, I'm even going to suggest to you that, when you watch the video that I have a link to below, that you not pay any attention to the "big numbers" that are presented as possibilities in the video. O.k.?

 

Here's the few things I DO want to mention to you and ask that you consider seriously:

     1. This is only a ONE TIME cost of $18 "out of pocket". You heard me right. This is not a "beginning cost" at some basic level that isn't worth two cents. (The video will explain how this works for you). Can you put more money into it? Sure you can. Some people, for example, put more $$ into it for advertising. I don't plan to do that - at least not for now - and you don't have to either. That would be 100% up to you. (That's why I have that $20 bill up at the top. Do you realize how quickly most of us spend $20?)

     2. What if it takes longer than the few weeks that is talked about in the video? WHO CARES? What if it took you a year to even reach the $100k amount, would that be o.k. with you? What if it even took two years to do that? Would that really matter to you? But, WHAT IF you were able to reach even that amount quicker than a year or two?

     3. As you'll see in the video, you're not trying to sell something or keep someone using something. It's simple and, the way I'm looking at it, THIS CAN BE A LOT OF FUN getting others involved and then watching this thing grow. LOOK AT HOW SMALL THE "RISK" IS!!!

     4. The "spill over effect" will help you fill up your spaces. Enough said about that. :)

     5. THIS IS GLOBAL! This is NOT limited to the United States so, those of you that are reading this from other countries (and I know I have a lot of people that do) should be able to participate.

     6. You don't have to "take care" of all the people that sign up under you or that get placed under you. NO BABYSITTING!

Why We Repeat Our Mistakes

So, as a recap, over the past couple of days we've talked about the fact that there is no shame in having to start over. No matter how many times you've had to start over, it doesn't matter. The key thing is the fact that you did NOT give up!

 

Yesterday I stated that the only problem that we need to take a look at is WHY we are starting over so many times. Like I said, there are situations that are beyond our control that cause us to have to start over, HOWEVER, I also stated that I could tell you the #1 REASON why we often have to start over so often.

 

If you haven't looked at that yet, take the time to do so. It might help you from getting offended at what I'm about to share with you, ABOUT you.

 

The #1 REASON that we have to "start over" so many times is because we refuse to swallow our pride and admit that, usually, it is due to our own mistakes. Now listen, that doesn't mean that we are bad people or inadequate people. It simply means that we are human and that we make mistakes.

 

HOWEVER, the problem comes when we fail to admit to that fact and we keep making the same mistake over and over and over again. Go back and read my comparison to some inventor not learning from their past mistakes. As silly as that example sounds (yeah, I really do mean you need to go back and read that if you haven't already) it is just as silly - and yes, foolish - for us to keep making the same mistakes as well.

 

And, finally (as far as the recap), I also told you that you may be surprised at how accurately I am able to pin-point some of these mistakes that we do not want to confess to, due to our pride.

 

So, in no particular order, here are some of those mistakes that we must correct if we ever plan to actually make progress in our journey toward our goals and dreams:

  

   1. WE DON'T LISTEN! Another way to say that is that we fail to follow instructions. No matter what it is that you are trying to accomplish, someone else has "been there, done that" and often has information available for you to follow, based on their experience. I'm not sure what it is about most of us that causes us to stick our chests out in pride and say, "I don't need any help! I can do this myself and likely, better than anyone else!"

Hit home yet? You may have a particular person that got you into a particular home-based business and they offer you guidance and direction that you refuse to follow. WHY? Chances are that this person even asked you - up front, in the beginning - if you were one that could, and would, follow instructions and that was also open to such direction. And, you happily and quickly said, "YES!"

Really? As much as it hurts, take a good long look and see where you have decided to "blaze your own trail" instead of seeking out available guidance and direction.

 

   2. WE TALK MORE THAN DO! You like to talk about how dedicated you are to this effort and,  if you have a "mentor" or "coach",  you probably like telling them that as well. Yet, if you are willing to get really honest with yourself, you actually TALK more than you actually DO. Maybe you're not as excited about this as you thought that you were and, honestly, you really need to see if that is true. Why? Because if this is something that you are NOT really interested in, then you need to identify that problem quickly instead of acting like you ARE interested. If you're NOT interested enough to really do what it takes to have some success then you will NOT do what is necessary for said success. Make sense?

But, maybe you just aren't as motivated a person as you want to think that you are! Ouch! Yeah, that one hurts, but it may be true. How much time do you actually spend with this effort. I didn't ask how much time do you THINK you spend...I asked how much time do you ACTUALLY spend.

What's the difference? You tell me. You WILL be able to tell me if you track your time or keep record of your time. You may be surprised to find out that you spend a lot less time with this than you think that you do.

 

   3. WE LIKE TO PLAY "DRESS UP".  This is very closely related to #2. You like to "talk" a lot about what you are doing (or THINK that you are doing) but, you actually don't really DO that much in reality. It's "fun" when people ask you what you do and you say, "I'm an entrepreneur!" when, in reality, you are a "wannabe". Ouch, again!

You have the business cards, you have a space set up for your office, you have a "schedule" set, in which you tell those around you to NOT bother you during certain times while you are in "your office" and, yet, in reality, you actually do very little if anything at all. You spend most of your time moving things around on your desk, reading e-mails, and PLANNING what you are going to do.

It's fun to play "dress up" but "playing" is not the same as "achieving".

So, starting over is not a sign that you are defeated. However, making the same mistakes over and over again and not learning from those mistakes and not doing things differently IS a sign that you are a bit hard-headed and stubborn. And, if that's the way you want to be, it's up to you. But friend, let's get honest here and come to an agreement that, if this is your mindset, you will spend the rest of your life "starting over" or even finally, actually QUITTING.

You say, "NEVER!". Then change what you are doing by learning from what you have done and see what happens. Remember, "Change Nothing - Nothing Changes!".

No Change = No Change!

Pretty much every day I talk to people that say or indicate that they NEED to make a change in their lives. They fill out forms requesting information about a way to change their current circumstances through a home business. Some that I talk to have even filled out extra information that shares WHY they are looking to generate extra income from home and some of these include getting out of debt, looking for better quality of life, more time with the family and - this one shows up more than the others - a lack of job security.

 

Yet, for many of them, when I talk to them they decide that they would rather stay right where they are by saying, "Nah, I'm not interested in that anymore".

 

I often wonder how they plan to make the changes that, apparently, they need to make in their lives. Thoughts like this are what nudged me to come up with the graphic that I put together for this blog. Simply put, "Keep Doin' the Same, Keep Gettin' the Same" and, as well, "Change Nothing, Nothing Changes".

 

We've talked about the realization that change does not take place overnight but that, indeed, we MUST start NOW if we want things to change for the better in our lives.

 

Remember, CHANGE NOTHING, NOTHING CHANGES!

 

I do not believe that you are like those I have mentioned so far in this article. YOU understand the need to take a step toward change each and every day and that, even one small step at a time, you ARE on the road to success with your goals and dreams!

 

If you want CHANGE in your life then you must CHANGE something about your life!

 

Now, as much as you may agree with me on everything I've said, do you understand the importance of attending an event such as the one I've shared with you every day for several days now?

 

Go through the same thought process that I've shared with you so far in this article and ask yourself this question: "Do I need to change something in my life in order to bring about positive change in my life?" Then, go to Dani's web site and do a little research and then ask yourself, "Why not?"
