"What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet..."
By any other name would smell as sweet..."
The above is said by Juliet to Romeo in Act II, Scene I of William Shakespeare's play, "Romeo and Juliet" and is a line that is often quoted.
The main point of this quote appears to be the fact that, regardless of what you CALL something or what name is given to any particular thing, it is what it is!
So it is with TODAY!
On the podcast, from time to time, I refer to the different days of the week by different "names" such as: Magical Monday, Turn-Around Tuesday, Wide-Open Wednesday" and Thankful Thursday. But, the fact is, it doesn't matter what I call it or what name appears on the calendar week. Whatever day it IS, it is simply (and correctly) called, TODAY.
It doesn't matter if you call it Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday OR Saturday...it's still called "TODAY" when it arrives.
You can call it a "birthday", "holiday", "work day", "off day", "weather day", "vacation day", "sick day" or "take-your-kid-to-work-day"...it all is still called, "TODAY"!
And, what you do with TODAY is up to you, friend. Stop waiting for tomorrow for, that period of time that is 24 hours or so away will still be called TODAY once it arrives!
The time is NOW and it's time we realized that there actually IS NO OTHER TIME to do what needs to be done and to take charge of our lives.

So, what are you going to do with YOUR day?
TODAY awaits, but don't forget this, it won't wait for you for long before THIS DAY is gone.
And as you consider these thoughts, always be sure to...
"Make it an AWESOME day! (Who else is going to do it for you?)"
Mike
