Find the Good!

About a week before this article I did another one on the need to "Stay Positive". In that article I talked about how, at times, I almost have to make a "game" out of finding SOMETHING positive to focus on during some days because of the abundance of negativity that seems to surround me. And, I know that many of you can relate to what I'm saying on that.

In similar fashion, you may have to do the same when it comes to "finding the good" in some days. I love what the phrase that you see posted above states about that: "Every day may not be good, BUT, there is SOMETHING good in every day!"

One of the examples that I use in the podcast is that of a funeral. I think it would be easy to say that we'd all agree that such a day is NOT a good day! However, even in the midst of the sadness of such a day there is still something good that can achieved. Many times, in such a situation, family members get to visit with each other and catch up with each other. Often, some of these family members have not seen each other in years. Some even feel a little guilty when they find themselves laughing and smiling while sharing some fond (and often, funny) memories with those family members.
Hopefully you don't have to experience those situations very often but, chances are, you still do struggle with days that may not be considered "good" just because of some of the struggles and negativity that seems to fill that particular day. Hey, sometimes, at the end of the day, the GOOD thing that you find is that the day if is finally over! 😏

LIFE brings good days as well as what may be considered bad. One good thing about that fact is that, even when you are experiencing those "not-so-good" days it points out the fact that you are ALIVE and that you are experiencing life! That, my friend, is a GOOD thing!

One of the reasons that I spend time doing these podcasts and writing these blog articles is so that I can better equip myself (and you as well) to face and handle those times that are a bit of a struggle. There are times that I can "see" that I've improved in handling those situations better than before. That's a good thing.

Make sense?

This is all part of "improving your mindset". Yes, some times it is VERY difficult to do and sometimes you just sit and "scratch your head" trying to find something GOOD in every day but, friend, it's there. Open your eyes and your mind and discover the GOOD even in a day that is NOT so good.

(Aren't you glad I didn't use that worn out saying about turning lemons into lemonade?)

Until next time, friend, whatever you do, be sure to...

"Make it an AWESOME day! (Who else is going to do it for you?)"

Some Days Just Suck!

Yes, it's true. Some days JUST SUCK!  No matter how positive you try to be or how careful you try to be to "make it an awesome day"...some days JUST SUCK!

I had one of those days last week, which caused me to find this graphic above. Just the "top part" of the graphic was what I found and it expressed exactly how I was feeling. Then I added the wording below the image, "But I have to keep moving on anyway", because, friend, that is what we all have to do even on those "sucky" days!

You see, it's just like what we talked about in that last "mini-series" of blog articles and podcasts...it boils down to being a matter of CHOICE and DECISION

I have to tell you that, on THAT day - that "sucky" day - things happened that literally sucked the life right out of me. I was dazed and confused and things looked dark. It was tough! But, even though I found that graphic that described exactly what I was feeling ("Some days just SUCK!"), I also knew that I had to apply a positive spin on the whole situation ("But I have to keep moving on anyway").

When you have one of "those days" (and you will!), you have a CHOICE to make. Don't ever forget that fact! You may not be able to go back and change whatever happened that may or may not have contributed to the situation, but you CAN and you DO have the ability to CHOOSE how you will respond to the situation. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You can "take it out" on anyone and everyone around you and make them just as miserable as you are. Misery doesn't always like company! That's one choice but, friend, that is not a very good choice and those around you don't deserve to be your "punching bag" just because YOUR day "sucked".

You may decide that it's best that you spend some time alone until you have a chance to "get it together" or "cool off". That may not be a bad choice! In my situation, it just so happened that I was not going to be around other people for the rest of the day and, honestly, I would say that it was a good thing. It allowed me to fuss and gripe and complain with myself and there was no one else that would have to hear that or "feel" that. It allowed me to go through the process of hurt and frustration and then it allowed me to develop RESOLVE! I was RESOLVED that (just like the bottom part of the image states) I was going to "get up" and "keep going" in spite of what had happened.

You may also choose (and be careful with this one) to get around others that you feel may help you get yourself "back on track". The reason I say "be careful" is that you want to be sure that this doesn't turn into the first scenario that I mentioned. You must be careful to not allow any negative energy to "spill over" to those around you. If you really feel that this other person - or group of people - will have a good, positive influence on you then, by all means, surround yourself with such people!

The main thing is that you have two basic choices:
     1. Have a "pity party" and allow the circumstance to dictate how you think and behave OR
     2. Decide that YOU will dictate how you think and behave and you "move on anyway".

It's up to you. It's your choice. CHOOSE WISELY.

Even when you have one of those days that just sucks! :)

Stay strong and stay positive and, until next time, whatever you do, be sure to...

Check Your "A Game"

"A" game.

What does that mean for you and/or to you? For most "A Game" usually means, "bring your best!".

I changed it to "CHECK Your 'A' Game" for a reason.

For today, "A" = ATTITUDE...so, "Check your Attitude".

Yeah, I know I talk about this a lot but, hey, don't we all need it? I'll go first...I DO! And, friend, whether you want to admit it or not, YOU do as well.

Quick story as to where this all came from, o.k.?

I worked pretty much all day long on putting together some graphics, etc. for a landing page that I'm going to be using for some network marketing. I'm familiar with landing pages and opt-in pages, etc. but I've never put much time into putting them together myself.

I figure that, if it is a way to learn something new, then I should spend a little time doing just that. And that, I did.

I was having some problems at the end of the night putting one final piece together and was "chatting" with some online support when, one final click, and it was all gone. No, I didn't delete anything. No, I didn't push any wrong "buttons". Just *BAM* and it was all gone. They (the support team at this site) are checking on it but, that didn't make me any happier about the whole thing.

"Frustrated" doesn't really describe how I felt but, it will do for now.

Then, after a bite to eat, I checked a couple of things out on Facebook when I came across a video that was shared by a friend of mine. It helped me "CHECK MY ATTITUDE" really quick.

I posted it on my Facebook fan page...check it out HERE and leave a comment. Seriously, check it out and listen to this young man. POWERFUL!

Keep your eyes and ears open for such reminders of the importance of mindset and attitude...we all need it from time to time.

Check your "A Game" and, as you do so...

"Make it an AWESOME Day! (Who else is going to do it for you?)"
