Action Removes Doubt

If you've never taken the opportunity to do so when I have mentioned this before, I want to tell you that you NEED to go to www.DaniJohnson.com and check out what this lady has to share and offer you and anyone that goes to her site. There is a LOT of free stuff for you there. This lady KNOWS what she is talking about - that's why I share stuff from her so often on the Facebook fan page that you can access here.

It's been said many times in many different ways by many different people but what you see said in the graphic above comes from Dani Johnson for this day: "ACTION takes you out of doubt, while doubt takes you OUT OF ACTION!"

Doubt - or FEAR - can and will paralyze you, freeze you, to the point of doing nothing. This only creates more doubt and/or fear due to the lack of results. It is a vicious downward spiral that CAN be corrected but it can only be corrected with ACTION!

Hey friend, I'm speaking to myself here as well!

I did come up with this little phrase a few years back that applies today: "If you want the plan to work you must work the plan!"

There was a time in my life a little over twenty years ago when I was out of work and, partly due to this, I slipped into a deep depression. One of the most frustrating things about this was also something that added to the depression. The very thing(s) that I knew I NEEDED to be doing - HAD to be doing, I did not - COULD NOT, do. I KNEW that I needed to get out of bed and go find a job - ANY job...but I just couldn't do it. Now, if you've never been through that I understand that you cannot understand that concept but, if you have been there, then you know exactly what I'm describing.

The very thing I needed to do to help (at least to some point) my current state of affairs was not being done which simply added to the frustration, depression and desperation.

I promise that I'm not trying to be over-dramatic on this but it really does relate to what we are talking about today.

ACTION is a necessity in ANY desire and attempt toward improvement in any area of life. Specifically for this discussion, ACTION is a necessity in any job or opportunity designed to help improve your financial situation.

Many are afraid and/or doubtful of their ability to do what is needed and, as a result, add to their own frustration and desperation - and DOUBT - by their very actions (or LACK of actions).

To change up a well known commercial phrase: "Just GET UP and DO IT!"

You've often heard that the only way to overcome a fear is to face it.

ACTION removes doubt AND fear.

It's as simple as that but, at the same time, one of the hardest things to DO. But, do it, you MUST!

And, as you do so, be sure to...

"Make it an AWESOME day! (Who else is going to do it for you?)"

Do It Now For Later

That's good advice no matter how you slice it. Wouldn't you agree?

Maybe it's a bit confusing and you're not exactly sure what is meant by this statement and maybe you don't even agree with the philosophy behind it.

Most people don't understand it or get it and, even if they do, they don't agree with it and what it means for their lives.

Many - if not most - people live in the NOW.

They have no focus, care or concern for the future and what their future could involve. Oh, you may hear them SAY that they are concerned for their future and that they are trying to plan for their future but what you hear are just words.

As a matter of fact, when most people say that they are "concerned" for their future it usually means they have no idea what they are going to do because they have nothing in place to take care of their future.

A few years ago I heard a father on a television "reality" show give a pretty good answer to his son who was wanting to watch television and play video games before he got his homework done. The father's answer went something like this: "Son, you do what you HAVE to do so that you can then do what you WANT to do."

Same idea as you see in the graphic above.

Work hard NOW so that you can take it easy later.

Do what it takes NOW so that you can have the life you desire later.

Build relationships with your family and your kids NOW so that they will be by your side later. (And, by the way this is not a contradiction of the sentence two paragraphs up. This does not have to be an "either/or" proposition).

If necessary, scrimp NOW - live frugally now - so that you can live like most others won't and can't later.

Sure, enjoy your life today. It IS all that we have. But, honestly, only a fool would live their life without focus and a plan for their future.

Want it made very simple? Ask any athlete - yes, even Jr. High and High School  - about how they feel about the "two-a-day" football practices that start in the summer before school even begins.

They may not like it but they get it.

And so should you, friend.

So, as you live today with a view of tomorrow in sight, be sure to...

"Make it an AWESOME day! (Who else is going to do it for you?)"

Inspire Others

We talked about leaders vs. followers in the last blog entry and, today, we continue with some more thoughts on leaders.

John Quincy Adams sums it up pretty well, wouldn't you agree?

Just because people "follow" you doesn't make you a leader! Yes, it's true in our current world of social media but it also applies in actual, physical situations.

You may be a boss that has many people follow your instructions but, friend, that does NOT make you a leader. It makes you a boss.

Can you be a boss AND a leader at the same time? Sure you can...just re-read the graphic above and answer that question for yourself.

I had a "boss" not too long ago that actually told a group of new employees one day that he didn't care about them. It was really quite confusing because in one breath he would talk about how much this company would take care of their employees and then, in the next breath, he said, "I don't care about you. I don't care anything at all about you. I pay - you do!"

Guess what? He didn't get much - if any - respect from his employees. He did NOTHING to inspire and, in big part due to his actions, this company has several billboards that ALWAYS indicate that this company is hiring.

You know why? No one is staying!

Here's the kicker: there ARE some leaders that work there IN SPITE OF this guy at the helm. They actually DO inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more. These leaders are not afraid to encourage those that listen to step away from this job that will bring in "decent" wages and take on bigger and more rewarding challenges.

Again, having followers does NOT make you a leader.

Who are YOU following? Are you being inspired?

And you, Mr. "Leader" (or so you may think)....do you fit the criteria set at the beginning of this article today by Mr. Adams?

If not, why not make a change and see what is possible in YOUR life and in the lives of those that you can lead?

It's up to you. It's your choice.

Here's to those that actually LEAD and INSPIRE....thank you.

For each of us along the journey, always remember to...

"Make it an AWESOME day! (Who else is going to do it for you?)"

Develop Followers or Leaders?

Think about this: why would you want to teach and/or train someone to take your position and/or surpass your position?

In the corporate world, you likely would not.

However, there ARE those who have the desire to not only teach and/or train others to improve their situation but to even go far beyond what they, themselves, have been able to accomplish.

It's kind of a "proud parent" type of thing and it brings a sense of pride and joy to see those that have been taught and trained to do such great and mighty things.

That's one of the great things about the world of home based businesses. Those "leaders" who train new people that come into the company usually not only want the new person to do well but also takes great pride in helping achieve great things even if it means that the now "not so new" person passes them up in earnings and achievements.

Hey, followers are nothing to sneeze at. Followers are needed but, at the same time, we cannot survive with a world full of followers. That alone is impossible, right? You MUST have at least ONE leader.

But think of the good that can be done by creating more and more leaders!

It's exciting to think about the things that can be achieved and accomplished in our world by creating more and more leaders.

If you've followed me for long you already know this but, for those that don't know me very well let me clarify something here - I'm not talking about achieving corporate take overs or building bigger and better buildings, etc.

I AM talking about all of the great things that can be accomplished in helping those that need help all around the world by instilling this attitude of SERVICE among our leaders!

We should not and CAN NOT expect for our government to take care of everyone that has need. However, as individuals, as LEADERS with a mission of SERVICE that work to develop more and more leaders with the same mission we, together, can accomplish GREAT things!

Starting with where you live right now. In your neighborhood, your town, your city, your state.

Start looking. Start dreaming. Start planning.

Decide NOW to become a leader that will develop other leaders to get these things done!

I hope YOU are getting excited as you read this. It's real! It's possible! It's up to YOU and ME to make it happen.

Well?

Will you?

Together we can!

And, as you do so, be sure to...

"Make it an AWESOME day! (Who else is going to do it for you?)"

When Things Don't Feel Right...

You've heard of the "two percenter" as opposed to the "ninety-eight percenter", right?

If you haven't, to put it simply, the 2% set themselves apart from the other 98% of the population and, as a result, are at the top 2% of income earners.

The 98% are those that are part of the crowd that does the same things as everyone else in that 98% group. They follow the same plans and do the same things. That doesn't necessarily mean that they are unhappy or even unsuccessful (the definition of "success" can mean many different things).

But, it DOES mean this: there are only 2% that are willing to step out from the crowd and take more risks and, as a result, usually reap more rewards.

They don't look at things the same, think the same or do the same things as everyone else. They are not careless. They do their homework or "due diligence" but they also are not afraid to "follow their gut" when making their final decision.

Notice the quote from Albert Einstein above.  Following the crowd will usually take you only as far as the crowd is willing to go. It's that same idea that says that you will fit into the average of those ten people with which you spend most of your time.  You tend to go no further or do any better than the average of that group of people.

Why not step out and take the chance - the risk - so that you have a chance of finding yourself where no one has ever been before?

BECAUSE IT SCARES US!

I've heard Anthony Robbins say something along the line of how important it is for each of us to become more afraid of staying where we are than being afraid of the possible risk and unknown.

Step out of the shadow of fear and walk boldly.

And, as you do so, be sure to...

"Make it an AWESOME day! (Who else is going to do it for you?)"
